Be the change you wish to see in the world.
In memory of Dan Hunt (1953 – 2021)
Our aim is to employ local unemployed, homeless, and displaced individuals, enabling them to be productive members of our community. Through collaborative efforts between residents, companies, our cleaning crews and the responsible handling of waste we hope to achieve a sustainable means to create employment
Tired of not knowing how the money you donate is used? City-Zen encourages residents to help in whichever way is convenient for them. Contributing with a monthly donation or donating equipment or participating in one of our monthly volunteering programmes. You will see the results right on your doorstep, everyday….that’s our commitment to you!
Our aim is to help all people living in our communities to contribute to the well-being of the community, this includes retirees, unemployed, homeless and displaced individuals. We also engage with informal businesses in our community by providing them with cleaning equipment so they can maintain the streets around their business, a refuse pickup service and weekly incentives.
As part of our drive to create public spaces that are greener and that people can enjoy – City-Zen will be identifying spaces that will benefit from the planting of trees. We welcome anyone wanting to contribute trees, plants or money that will help green our community.
Clean public spaces become safer public spaces. Our vision is to have a City-Zen chapter in every suburb in South Africa. If you are interested in starting your own City-Zen chapter please contact us to learn how you can become part of the City-Zen movement.
When you donate to City-Zen, you contribute to a cleaner, greener and safer community for you and your family. You are helping to solve the unemployment problem in our country. It’s a win-win for all. See what your contribution can do today!
